Choosing paint colors for a big project can feel overwhelming. With thousands of shades and multiple finish options, it is easy to second-guess every decision. The good news is that sticking with tried and true colors and understanding sheen levels can simplify the process dramatically.
Hopefully, our go to colors will point you in the right direction!

First, Understand Sheen
Sheen refers to the level of gloss in your paint finish. The higher the gloss, the more reflective and easier to see imperfections in your wall. The lower the gloss, the harder to notice those imperfections.
Selecting the correct sheen is just as important as selecting the color.

Recommended Sheens by Area
Ceilings – Flat
Moulding and Doors – Semi Gloss
Bathroom Walls – Eggshell
Walls in the Rest of the House – Matte
See It in Real Homes
One of the best ways to choose confidently is to see colors in real spaces.
Lighting, flooring, and furnishings all affect how paint looks once it is on the wall. Viewing completed projects can help you visualize how a shade will feel in your own home.
